Bringing the benefits of fibre broadband
to even more premises
Superfast Cornwall was first set up in 2010. There have been three separate phases of the programme, as the programme has continued to evolve.
The final infrastructure phase ran from 2017-2020.
Part funded by the EU, this programme aims to upgrade more than 7,600 of the premises in Cornwall which have the slowest broadband speeds. The rollout completed with around 9,700 premises being upgraded with full fibre.
Phases 1-8 of the current programme were part-funded by the EU’s European Regional Development Fund (EDRF). Phases 9-10 were funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD).
